The Deco-Coat Urethane Doming Series are two component, low viscosity polyurethane doming resins. These decorative resin systems are designed for continuous outdoor exposure. They remain crystal clear and resist yellowing.

All three products form a durable 3D lens effect on labels, decals, badges, name plates, lapel pins, automotive hood ornaments, etc...  These systems cure at room temperature and have a convenient 1:1 mix ratio.

WEATHER RESISTANT TEST DATA:

The DC-2605, DC-2606 and DC-2607 was tested according to ASTM G53 for accelerated outdoor weathering. A QUV weatherometer in an independent lab was used. All three formulations surpassed 1,000 hours.  There was no crazing, cracking, blistering, or flaking. Three to five year outdoor life is expected with only the slightest of visible change expected. Recommended for outdoor use.
 

NOTES:

Polyurethane resins can be contaminated by humidity. These materials are hygroscopic and will form tiny air bubbles during curing if exposed to water.

Doming should therefore take place in a dehumidified room. Avoid using wooden sticks or other tools that may contain moisture.

The substrates to be domed should also be free of moisture and non-porous. Avoid using hygroscopic inks and in particular those containing glycerine.
