DECO-COAT 2510 is a two-component high gloss resin used to form a "water
white", ultra-clear enamel like finish. It is impervious to water,
solvents, and cosmetics. This Deco-Coat formulation contains UV
stabilizers to help prevent yellowing or degradation due to the
sunlight's ultra violet rays. Deco-Coat 2510 is ideal for applications
requiring optimum clarity and increased UV protection with an epoxy
system.DECO-COAT
2510 provides optimum clarity and a "glass-like" enamel finish with the highest
level of esthetic appeal. This versatile coating is safe and easy to use and can be
air-dried or baked for a "bubble free" finish, without any blushing or surface
imperfections.
DECO-COAT 2510 adheres readily to plated metals, glass, plastics, wood and other
substrates. It can be used on costume and fashion jewelry, or as a rigid bubble coating on
decals, insignias, emblems, pressure sensitive labels or anywhere an ultra clear UV
resistant coating is desired.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
- By weight mix 2 parts Deco-Coat resin to 1 part Deco-Coat
curing agent. Mix thoroughly, scraping the bottom and sides of the mixing container.
- Apply and cure according to the directions of the following
curing agent descriptions.
- Refer to our Product Bulletin on dispensers and supplies for
mixing supplies and applicators.
A choice of curing agents is available to satisfy a wide
diversity of coating applications:
DECO-COAT 890 HC curing agent has a working time of approximately 1 hour and can be
cured with mild heat, 80-100 oF, baked at elevated temperatures, or 24 hours at
room temperature.
DECO-COAT 910 RT curing agent has a working time of approximately 30 minutes and is a
fast room temperature curative. It can be cured at room temperature or with mild heat,
80-100 oF.
DECO-COAT 920 RT curing agent has a working time of approximately 45 minutes and is a
moderately fast room temperature curative. It can be cured at room temperature or with
mild heat, 80-100 oF.
AVAILABILITY & TERMS:
Deco-Coat is available in 1 gallon, 5 gallon pails and 55
gallon drums. Price lists and price quotes for special packaging or large quantities are
available on request. Terms are net 30 days, F.O.B. Greenville, RI USA.
STORAGE & HANDLING:
Since Deco-Coat 2510 is a 100% high purity grade epoxy that
may crystallize in storage. To reliquify heat at 150-200 oF until clear, mix
and allow to cool to room temperature. Store in a warm, dry area. Be sure containers are
tightly sealed when not in use. Shelf life is one year in a sealed unopened container.
OSHA Form 20 Material Safety Data Sheets are available on request. Deco-Coat 2510 NC, a
non-crystallizing version, is also available.
